What grade are you in? – “Grade 11”

Are you happy to be back in-person this year? – “Yeah, I am glad we will get to experience normal high school to some extent this year”

What has been your favourite class this year? – “I have actually really enjoyed my physics class this semester. It was surprising because I didn’t know how much I was going to enjoy it.”

When you are not at school, what do you do in your free time? – “I play baseball. I have practice everyday after school for four hours.”

That sounds really busy. How do you manage your time between school and baseball? – “Honestly it is difficult, but I find little times after school, between when I get home and when I get back, to do work. There are a lot of late nights and early mornings studying to try and get everything done.”

What do you want to do after high school? – “My dream is to get an athletic scholarship to a Division I school in the States for baseball.”

What is your dream school? – “I’d love to go to the University of Michigan. They have great academics and athletics, plus it’s pretty close to home.”

Finally, where do you see yourself in ten years? – “I mean, my main goal is to be a professional baseball player, but if I am thinking about a more realistic career, I see myself working in finance.”
