By: Nicholas Pope

Mehul Sarin! Mehul is a grade 10 student and the Junior Vice President at Forest Hill Collegiate Institute and loves everything the school has to offer. I had the pleasure of interviewing him at lunchtime, getting to know more about him as well as what his interests are. I hope you have fun learning about Mehul as much as I did. 🙂

What is your favorite part about Forest Hill?

My favorite part of Forest Hill is its social aspect. I appreciate how many activities are accessible at Forest Hill. For example, clubs, leadership councils, and, of course, our amazing events like concerts, Hillstock, etc. This year, I joined the student council and started my own club, allowing me to share my enthusiasm and branch out.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

I am hoping to be in my profession and be done with all my education. But, I’d better be happy and rich though!

What are your top 3 restaurant choices?

  1. Church’s Fried Chicken – You won’t regret buying their honey-butter biscuits. They are just chef’s kiss.
  2. Chick-fil-A – They serve the best crispy chicken sandwich in the world.
  3. Subiksha Foods – The greatest dosas in Ontario!

Who was your childhood hero?

Rick Astley for life!

What is one fun fact about you?

I enjoy performing magic, and you may have seen me do some great card tricks at coffee house!

What is your favorite club at FHCI?

Without a doubt, it is the cubing club. There is absolutely no bias here because I enjoy learning new things, and at the club, we discuss new algorithms and how to solve a Rubix cube faster. If you don’t know how to solve a cube at all, they also teach you the fundamentals of solving a cube. All you need is patience!

What is your favorite joke?

What is a fish with no eyes? A fish.

Do you believe in aliens?

I mean we are technically aliens, so yes.
