What are your plans for next year?
Well, I do want to go to computer engineering or computer science, but I haven’t decided what exactly I want to do in my life.
What university do you plan on going to?
I plan to go to Waterloo University which I like to call my heaven.
What advice would you give to your grade 9 self?
I would tell them that Grade 9 marks don’t matter. I would tell them to take part in more extracurriculars and to be more involved around school because that’s how you make friends and build relationships with teachers. Also, I would say to slowly start learning about yourself and learn how to do better by yourself.
Who inspires you the most in your life?
My dad inspires me the most because he has degrees from Ivy League Universities and is now getting his PhD. From this, I was academically more driven to do better and pushed to do better. He didn’t force me, but he set an example for me to follow his path and pursue my dreams.
Are you looking forward to prom it?
I really don’t know what prom is about, I have only heard past stories. I think I am excited because it is one of the things you do at the end of high school and are able to spend time with most of these people for the last time. I think prom is going to be fun and I’m really looking forward to it.
What is your biggest regret in your high school career?
My biggest regret is crying after an exam. Not because I did badly but because I got one question wrong. I cried because I had a really high mark and one mistake would have brought my average down. Later on, I realized that one mark would not determine my life, and I just regret it because I cried so much.
