Where are you from and when did you come to Canada?
I am from Serbia. I came to Canada two and a half years ago.
How was the transition?
It was hard at first, mostly because of English, and because of the cultural differences, but I think I overcame those differences in a short period of time.
For what are you most grateful?
I am grateful that I got a chance to get an education in Canada, and move here, meet new people, new cultures, and learn a new language.
Who inspires you to be better?
I think I inspire myself to be better. I like to challenge myself in school in terms of the things I can do or my limitations. I am trying to break those limits and learn more, and therefore in that way I inspire myself.
What are your hobbies and what got you into them?
I used to go to a music school so one of my hobbies right now is to play the guitar. I also like riding my bike, just walking, and also watching Netflix.
What are you looking forward in the summer?
I am going to Serbia for two months.
What would you tell your Grade 9 self?
Be more confident.
