On April 12th, 2021, a leaked video catching flashing, triangle-shaped objects flying around a US warship has been confirmed to be authentic, as said in an official statement made by the Pentagon. They also confirmed that the video was taken by US Navy personnel, although they declined to officially label the objects as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs, the official term for UFOs).
“I can confirm that the referenced photos and videos were taken by Navy personnel,” Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough said in an official statement. “The UAP (Task Force) has included these incidents in their ongoing examinations,”
The alleged UFO sighting was originally posted online by UFO investigator and documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell. The video, taken in night vision, showed a triangular-shaped object moving through the sky directly above the warship, which was then joined by two other, more faint triangular objects before the video ends.
He wrote on his website, “The USS Russell observed and recorded multiple ‘pyramid’ shaped craft.”
The video was initially shared at an Office of Naval Intelligence on May 1st, 2020, and later leaked to Corbell. He then worked to verify the videos before releasing the footage online. According to his findings, the video was taken in July of 2019 in San Diego from the USS Russell.
US intelligence agencies have been instructed to give unclassified UAP reports regarding this and many other incidents to Congress in June.
