Teachers’ Halloween Shenanigans, Unmasked

By Claire Hind and Zachary Spring

Do you ever wonder what your teachers’ Halloween traditions are? Well, we have their secrets, or should we say, pumpkin seeds for you!

First off, Ms. Main:

What is she doing for Halloween this year?

Get ready…. She doesn’t know yet. She likes to keep us on our toes. On the brighter side, she claims she did a good “Seven” from Stranger Things (we think she means Eleven).

What is her favourite fall food?

With the cold weather, she starts to crave curry dishes. REAL.

Favourite Halloween candy?

Well, she says she can always walk away from chocolate, although if she had to pick, she’d go for Reese’s peanut butter cups (solid choice). We quote she “loves candy” and she does love herself some sour patch kids!

Next, Mr Falcão:

What is he being for Halloween?

He wants to be a pink flamingo! Isn’t that cool!

What’s his favourite fall food?

He doesn’t eat chocolate because he doesn’t like things with dairy. Lactose moment? Relatable. However, he likes to indulge in cornbread and zucchini soup. He also enjoys speculaas cookies, which he likes specifically in the fall because of the spices.

Here’s Mr Falcão’s favourite fall memory:

Years ago there was a zombie marathon in Toronto, where many gathered, dressed, and walked united as one zombie community. Mr Falcão, along with others, walked and dressed up as a zombie. In order to make his zombie mask traditionally, he used paper maché. Although, one year, he was looking for black paint and couldn’t find any, so he used black pepper and sprinkled it on top of his face!

That’s all we have this time for what your teachers do on Halloween! Stay tuned for more about the secret lives of teachers!
